DVD only gets udma2 (udma4 capable)

The drive is ok, jumpers are ok, bios detects it ok, and also w*n detects it 

problem is fbsd detects it as a 40-pin cable =\

btw, im using (forgot to add it on the original post):

FreeBSD localhost 5.4-STABLE FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE #2: Tue May 10 09:59:01 CDT 
2005     loox at localhost:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/LXAMD64  amd64
