Yes, no problem, I've  planned to migrate to 5.3 anyway in 2 weeks time.
But I would like to understand _why_ usbd's attach/detach function, as I understood it from Handbook and manpages, does not work on 4.X (I'm using the scanner since 2 or 3 years without any other problem). It should work, shouldn't it ? Do I mis-interpret e.g. usbd.conf(5) ?
