painful delay during 5.3 boot

Could it be bad cable or something?
Or some change in fstab that tries
to make connection with something
on device?
If it is the same computer as with
previous trouble, could you try it on
another one?
Floppy works for me always nice and
was the only device I never had head-
ache with.
