BTW, it is most likely the "File and args: kernel/unix" thing that is
causing your specific problem and that's probably a setting in your
EEPROM. If you have the same problem booting miniinst as you had
booting the bootonly CD then try:
boot cdrom /boot/kernel/kernel
to see if that helps. If it does you should probably change your EEPROM
settings.
