Install PC-BSD.  It's essentially FreeBSD with all the user-interface
bits you seem to be expecting.

Standard FreeBSD itself is /very/ minimal compared to what you get with
most Linux installs.  If you aren't confident with using the
command-line then you're going to be struggling.
