Problem with modem DSL Dlink

Hi list
I am trying to configure FreeBSD 6.0
with an ADSL modem (ethernet) PPPoE.
The modem is DSL-302T Dlink ADSL 2+ compliant.
The ethrenet interface is a realtek (I can use it without problem).
We are able to connect from Linux and Windows with this modem.
With FreeBSD we configured everything as it's told in the Handbook,
I also followed http://renaud.waldura.com/doc/freebsd/pppoe/
but when I try to talk with the modem I just get
'no carrier'.
Could yuo please helpe me?
