ok I didn't get an answer on my first email so I tried to do a complete buildworld
here is a transcript of the output:

ranlib libc_pic.a
ranlib libc_p.a
ranlib libc.a
install -C -C -o root -g wheel -m 444 libc.a /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib
install -C -C -o root -g wheel -m 444 libc_p.a /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib
install -C -s -o root -g wheel -m 444 libc.so.5 /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib
ln -fs libc.so.5 /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib/libc.so
install -C -o root -g wheel -m 444 libc_pic.a /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib
1 error
*** Error code 2

*** Error code 2

*** Error code 2

I made only moderate changes to the make.conf...like my CPUBuild=i586.
I am in single user mode. Someone please help. I am NOT good enough to troubleshoot this.
