Dear all

I’m in a spot of bother. I have a 6 drive RAID-Z3 which will no longer import and kernel panics with blkptr at 0x806764a40 has invalid CHECKSUM 0

Running zdb TANK01 has the same results when booting in to single user mode with safe booting. If I attempt any zfs/zpool command the machine kernel panics and reboots. ZDB command seem to work without panic.

Can someone please point in me the right direction to either resolve or recover data. If it was possible to mount read only, that would be fine, but again, any zpool import (even readonly) panics. I see this issue was raised previously here https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=222734 but closed.

Previous to this I’d had no issues with the pool which had been running happily for 4-5 years, with the occasional disk replacement. This pool has always been in a machine with ECC memory as it is now.

Just to reiterate the zpool was showing no issue on any disks or on scrub. The machine was running normally and I was accessing (reading) a file when it panicked and then failed to boot due to the above checksum error.

Thanks James
