Some things to try:

1) Upgrade to v6.1.13 from here:

http://people.FreeBSD.org/~gibbs/linux

2) Boot your kernel with "aic7xxx=verbose" in your lilo append line and
   compile the aic7xxx driver statically into your kernel.

3) Provide full dmesg output from a failing machine.
