I'm new to this list, so please forgive me if this has been
covered previously. When I copy large amounts of data between
two disks using XFS and the aic7xxx driver I keep getting error
messages and then it completely locks up my machine. Only one
of the disks has to be XFS. I'm not sure, but I think it may
only have to be the disk I'm copying from. So far I have not
gotten the error copying from ext2 to ext2.
I have tried this with kernel 2.4.2 and 2.4.3 under Redhat 7.1.
When I do the same operation on a machine with a symbios it
works fine. I can also get this error message on multiple
machines with the aic7xxx.
The error messages I get:
Jul 5 16:52:28 machine1 kernel: scsi1:0:2:0: Attempting to queue an ABORT
message
