I have an Intel Dakota DK440LX motherboard with an integrated AIC-7895
chipset controller and I have a PCI AHA-3940 controller in my Debian 2.1
(2.0.36 kernel) system.
Things work for the most part, but when the disks are hit with a fairly
constant amount of disk I/O activity I start see I/O timeouts in the
system log.
The attached out.txt file has a sample of the errors that are getting
logged.
AIC-7895 Channel A (ultra wide scsi channel) no devices
AIC-7895 Channel B (narrow ultra scsi channel) three narrow disk devices
AHA-3940 has a Ricoh 6201S CD-RW drive.
I have the 5.1.11 driver in my kernel. I have the 2.0.36 kernel
compiled with SMP support since this system has two Pentium II 333 MHZ
cpus.
