AHA-2940AU BIOS 1.21 with Linux 2.0.31

I have found what was wrong and I answare myself  :)

I tried to compile the kernel without the PCI support.
Sorry.

Now the board works also with the kernel 2.1.53 and I can access my MO
disks with 2048 byte per sector.
