I would think we comply with that.  If we were so legally tasked, we 
could come up with a copy of sources.  Presuming the time limit is 
"something reasonable", which it should be.

Right?  the process would be something like:
1) a request is officially made (letter, email)
2) You respond to the request, either providing a link to the sources or 
the sources themselves, or state that it will takes <estimated time> to 
run down and you will come back
3) in the latter case, find a couple and complete the request


Maybe somebody should archive the freebsd distfile cache periodically 
just-in-case because 3 years is a long time but in practical terms the 
since the source was never hosted at FreeBSD and presumably widely 
available chances are nobody would actually exercise this right.
