Do you know if there are any plans in that community to continue work on
POSIX.1e or develop a new document for related functionality? In a couple
of months, there should be at least three or four complete implementations
of the POSIX.1e ACL API (IRIX, Linux, FreeBSD -- any others?), which would
place us in a strong position to make claims about the strengths and
weaknesses of the API, and also make assertions about how it should be
implemented so as to maximize interoperability of applications needing
access to an ACL API.
