Hi Matt,

On my laptop (Dell Inspiron 7352, Intel i7 5500U), I can load i915kms,
but the console after loading i915kms is very slow, and Xorg does not
launch at all.

My X.Org log:
https://gist.github.com/neelchauhan/9b13431a041b73a6a526758d50b0c5b0
X.Org seems to be stuck after this line:
[ 234.038] (II) intel(0): switch to mode 1920x1080 at 60.0 on pipe 0
using eDP1, position (0, 0), rotation normal

A dmesg snippet:
https://gist.github.com/neelchauhan/562c19061b6442d33f19e6dff0dccb47
I don't have a full dmesg log, sorry.

I can still use my laptop through SSH, just not through the console.

I also get ACPI errors from the console every few seconds, and I'm not
sure if that is related to the issues with X.Org not loading. The
errors are as follows:

ACPI Error: [\134_SB_.PCI0.LPCB.H_EC.ECRD] Namespace lookup failure,
AE_NOT_FOUND (20160422/psargs-391)
ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\134_TZ.TZ01._TMP] (Node
0xfffff8000480fb00), AE_NOT_FOUND (20160422/psparse-559)

When I tried FreeBSD with scfb, Xorg loaded correctly.

Please tell me if you have any concerns.

Thanks,
Neel
