Yeah, you are right.

Although, in Debian 8 (and probably many other distros) X.org uses UXA 
acceleration by default, unless you specifically configure SNA. This 
experience from Debian 8 LXDE live. Maybe SNA is not yet considered 
stable or production ready?

Just in case I am going to install the related ports (dri, libGL and 
apps that use them) with -g in /etc/make.conf flag and provide core 
dumps. It is the least I can do to help debug why UXA makes apps crash 
on my laptop. Actually, this is the last testing scenario I can come up 
with off the top off my head. I'll probably start working on this 
tomorrow after I wake up.
