Problem still not fixed for me.
Also strange allergy to "" in argument:
/etc/make.conf
CPUTYPE?=athlon-xp
ok
CPUTYPE?="athlon-xp"

and NO_PROFILE=true is required in make.conf or need only WITHOUT_PROFILE=true
in src.conf?
And my src.conf:

WITHOUT_HTML=true
WITHOUT_HYPERV=true
WITHOUT_OPENSSH=true
WITHOUT_OPENSSL=true
WITHOUT_KVM=true
WITHOUT_MAIL=true
