If you only want to look at code, I suggest the website so you can
diff files a little easier: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/base/stable/10/
(or whatever version you're following)

If you want to update to the latest, then you need to rebuild after
you svn up /usr/src. That's the part that can take hours on older
systems.
