Which source of confusion is why I modified src/syc/conf/newvers.sh on
my systems as described in
<http://www.catwhisker.org/~david/FreeBSD/history/> -- e.g.:

FreeBSD 9.3-STABLE #101  r271842M/271869:903504: Fri Sep 19 05:09:06 PDT 2014     root at g1-235.catwhisker.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/CANARY  i386

FreeBSD 10.1-BETA2 #1337  r271848M/271869:1000717: Fri Sep 19 06:31:45 PDT 2014     root at g1-235.catwhisker.org:/common/S3/obj/usr/src/sys/CANARY  i386

FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT #1372  r271869M/271869:1100036: Fri Sep 19 07:38:14 PDT 2014     root at g1-235.catwhisker.org:/common/S4/obj/usr/src/sys/CANARY  i386


(different slices from the same drive on teh same hardware, each built
using a local private mirror of the svn repository that I updated just
prior to starting those builds).
