Assuming you're close to 8-STABLE, I'd expect it not to be too much to
work to run newer VirtIO code. There's several changes that I still need to
MFC to 9, since it was in a freeze for the 9.3 release when I was MFC'ing
to 10. I should get that done in the next few weeks.
Due to pending EOL and my limited time, I've stopped MFC'ing new features
to 8. I'm not aware of any bugs in the 8-STABLE code though.
