You're right; they stem from Rick's patch (from line 207 in
numeric-uidgid.patch on):

-nd->nd_repstat = nfsv4_strtogid(cp,j,&gid,p);
+nd->nd_repstat = nfsv4_strtogid(nd, cp, j, &gid,
+   p);


I reverted the patch and see what's going to happen...
