Kernel not installed from CD

This seems to be related to choosing a distribution in sysintall
(developer, X-developer, User, ...) Without choosing one, no kernel is
installed.  I guess implicitly installing the smallest distribution when
no distribution is chosen from the menu would solve this problem.
