the card works but you need to tweak the eprom country settings
I have lots of it running releng_5 and 6 in any mode (a,b and g)

you can query the mobile list archive for "how to enable Dlink DWL-AG530" or 
so in the subject where I posted some time ago how to do it for/with FreeBSD

you do not need to patch if_ath.c anymore on releng_6|5 only change the eprom 
setting
