BUG 237666

Does anyone know if this bug has been squashed: <https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=237666>? I have not seen a recent update regarding it.

I was never able to install FreeBSD 12 due to its existence. It did not exist in version 11, so it is evident that something drastically changed between versions 11 and 12.  With version 13 due to be released soon, it would be nice to know that I can safely install it on my system. The fact that this bug has existed and not been fixed for two years certainly does not instill confidence that the FreeBSD team can maintain a stable product.
