mailman 3 on FreeBSD- or mailman replacement?

Thank you, Matthew! You really summarized for lazy person - me - the
situation. Whereas mailman2 was brilliantly written by brilliant
programmers - even with use of "sneaky snake" python, mailman3 is not
such. Maybe, the programmers team has changed. Or maybe - like in
Mozilla Foundation - the jumpy nonsense "production director" came
there... All in all, this just confirms the vitality of second question:
What is best replacement for mailman? What to migrate mail lists to?
