I fully agree with you. The whole flame war of this thread is between "I 
want my system just work and have everything without effort" and "I want 
my system really secure". Some of us split from Linux to FreeBSD 
(servers at least) in pursuit of security, others may be splitting from 
FreeBSD to Linux with their goals.

And the only reason this flame war starts on FreeBSD mail list is: Linux 
mail lists will kick you out pretty quickly ;-)
