gmirror disks differ at start.no boot from another disk?

Tried

# sysctl -w kern.geom.debugflags=16
kern.geom.debugflags: 0 -> 16

# gpart bootcode -b /boot/pmbr -p /boot/gptboot -i 1 ada1
gpart: /dev/ada1p1: Operation not permitted

Stuck now Why not permitted?

ada1 is  a part of gmirror, maybe that's the reason? But then how should 
i do it?

Update mirror/boot ? But then if something goes wrong i would loose all 
boot loaders

and partitions on both disk. I want to do it only on one disk.
