Good email account for Alpine in console?

Anyone have any suggestions on a good email account to use with Alpine in
the console command line?  I tried my gmail account and it wanted me to
jump through extra security hoops. I tried an unused email account with my
phone company, but the smtp send never worked on any port. I can see
restricting sending to control spam, but all I need is a low volume,
text-only email provider.

Any ideas?
