	For the record: mine is a two port add-on, about 10 years old.
It is reported by pciconf as:

em0 at pci0:3:6:0:	class=0x020000 card=0x10128086 chip=0x10108086 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'Intel Corporation'
    device = '82546EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper)'
    class      = network
    subclass   = ethernet

	As far as I know ... on-board or add-on shouldn't matter. If it
does, and if this has changed from 11 to 12, someone should open a bug
and point to this thread.
