Yes, it doesn't. You could also see this from the output
of the (old-fashioned) "fdisk da1" which did show one
MS-DOS type partition...

The partitioning information is damaged, the file system
cannot be recognized properly anymore. Compare with the
USB sticks that still work - they have the correct kind
of information.
