Simply set "Mail delivery" to off on the configuration page. How much
simpler can that be?

Deleting email is a common, everyday practice. Why must it be such a
chore for one mailing list?

The address of the mail forum should be stored in your address book. If
you do not know how to accomplish that, please post back and we will
try and assist you. I use "claws-mail" and code it right into the
special folder I use for each mail forum.

It sounds to me like you have serious organizational issues. You can
get help for that. You are over thinkng the issue and making it a lot
harder than it needs to be.
