Upgrading from 7.4 to 9.1

Well to tell you the truth, the main reason I was asking is that I'll have to visit my datacenter in order to do a clean install… as opposed to remote upgrade. 

So I was wondering if that could be ok. 
But I'll stick to your advice. 

Unless someone else tells me that It is a painless rapid update.
