I have FreeBSD papi 8.0-RC1 and fusefs works perfectly via mount & fstab.

Did you replace the original mount_ntfs with ntfs-3g like bellow?

cd /sbin
mv -f mount_ntfs mount_ntfs-kern
ln -s /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g mount_ntfs


After that, any call to mount_ntfs will grant RW to the disk.
