Transfering a File From One Server To Another

Hi;
  I have a server that's screwed up. I'm building out another server now. I need to transfer a 1/2G file from the old one. FTP doesn't work. I tried this:
  wget http://203.223.111.11/path/to/file
  It connected to the machine but threw a 404. Ideas?
