I think for a small company there is little choice if you need serious 
capacity on a budget.

300GB SATA.. in the $150 and lower
300GB 10K RPM SCSI $650 and up

$500 difference per drive.
2U with 8 drives: 4,000 Difference.

Not to mention you can get 750GB SATA drives cheaper than 300GB SCSI.
