How to create a manual page in FreeBSD

Study troff and write your man page with any old text editor. Suggest
you place it in /usr/local/man/ the same as many others.

Easier than learning troff from the beginning would be to take an
existing man page and make a copy of it. Edit the copy. Proofread every
little change. Suggest /usr/share/man1/man.1.gz would be a good man page
to use as your template.

Gzipping man pages is optional.
