Is there /etc/groups limits?

Hi,

Is there a limit on how many groups a user can belong to?
For example

user1:*:1000:www
user2:*:1001:www
user3:*:1002:www
...
...
...

For example, is there a limit which would stop apache to work because 
the www user is member of 10000 groups?
