I dunno; I guess the best "workaround" would be to try and
fix the configuration step.  I'm sure mezz would appreciate it...

Other than that, keep an eye on the ports tree (maybe at
freshports.org) and see if it gets unbroken, I guess.  Sorry,
I'm not much help there.
