Italics not shown properly in OpenOffice

Hm I found out there was a bug in OO.o 2 BETA when opening .xml files 
where bold and italic text were used, maybe its the same sort of problem 
? this is the reported issue:

If it is like that I tink it is a problem in OO.o itself
