I've got a deadline coming up, so I may have time to play with it
after that.

In the meantime, I came up with the following bit of awk to translate
the table syntax, for my fairly simple case:

  match($2,"/[^/]*$") { 
      print substr($2, RSTART+1, RLENGTH) " \trhost:=" $1 ";rsf:="
      substr($2, 1, RSTART-1) ;
      print ""
  }
