Well, upgrade is a bad idea if the machine is already in production :)

In fact, the machine where i am running
Postifx+Postgresql+CyrusIMAP+Alotofnicestuffformymailserver is running
4.9 :-P and it's fine and i want upgrade it in a couple of years :-D
(it's a good point about FreeBSD: the security patches even for old
releases ;))

If you want to apply some kind of stuff in the paper don't doubt to ask,
i have running a more less similar setup as the described there :)
