FreeBSD 5.0 Cannot Mount Floppy

it is intended to disable [not loading] the ACPI module.
you must add this line:

		hint.acpi.0.disable="1"

to your file:  /boot/device.hints and reboot your computer.

what do you mean "not seeing" what dmesg say?   [dmesg | grep fdc]
