For what you want, SSH works wonderfully. You can add something like this
to your .ssh/config file to save having to type the full command each time:
Host remoteserver
Hostname remote.example.com
LocalForward 3306 2.3.4.5:3306
LocalForward 901 2.3.4.5:901
