This has nothing to do with how robust FreeBSD is. This has to
do with the way you learn about things in an open source environment.
He is saying check the man page for ulimit. It will help you
understand your problem. You might also want to look in the
handbook and or some of the other references about FreeBSD for ulimit
and related topics.
