kde3.1.1 on fbsd4.8

After upgrading 4.7 to 4.8 through source yesterday I saw that X and KDE
also can be upgraded.

Will "portupgrade -rR kde3" (the metaport) do this for kde?
And will X and QT be upgraded too this way or need I do these two
separately?

In other words: what is the best approach to update X, QT and KDE after
my upping 4.7r to 4.8 ??
