Xserve G5 (RackMac3,1) Installation Issues on powerpc64

This fan issue existed in -CURRENT for about a week and is now fixed 
(one of the hazards of -CURRENT); apparently your snapshot was made in 
that bad week. If you update your source and build a new kernel, it 
should be fixed. I would also be happy to supply you with a pre-built 
kernel if you like. The underlying bug that caused the fan issues is 
likely to be the source of the other problems you are having as well.
