Did you even read his post? His issue is that 10.4 can't resize a live FS.

If you can borrow leopard install media from someone that should be able to
do it, failing that I /think/ I had some succuess with GNU parted on my G5
iMac, but I am not so sure.

If you haven't found an answer I will check in a few days.
