arlib and clang question

When was arlib fixed with clang? does anyone know?
this pr submission takes out the test:

-BROKEN=           ARLIB option does not compile with clang

but, if arlib WAS broken, and is now fixed, what OSVERSION, and what 
ARCH's was it fixed in?
