Icon package

Hi,
why does the icon package icon-9.4.1 not build on amd64?
The  Makefile is the following version:
$FreeBSD: ports/lang/icon/Makefile,v 1.27 2003/02/20 18:37:58 knu Exp $
ONLY_FOR_ARCHS= alhoa i386
but if I manually add amd64 it builds without any glitch and seems to
run fine.
Could someone change that in ports or tell me why it doesn't work
though it seems to?
