Only one idea about php4

Hello,
I´m having many problems with php4 and the dinamic modules that it
compile and I only have one suggestion: It could be suitable to have a
port that compile static modules and other one that compile dinamic
modules?

I know that I can do that compiling php4 from sources, but in this way
if any other port depends php will try to install it, won't it?
